What ingredients are in our CBD products?

As health and wellness geeks, part of our mission at Just JOMO is to inform our customers as best we can about CBD – so that you know what makes a quality product before you purchase!

We aim to provide as much information as we can about CBD itself – where it comes from, its legality, how to use it – the list goes on…

But of all the common queries that require the advice of experts like ourselves, there is one element of the CBD industry that is typically overlooked…

Consider ALL the ingredients!

When we ingest things, whether it be food, drink or supplements, it goes without saying – we’d all prefer to know what exactly we’re putting into our bodies.

The majority of us will carefully check the ingredients in foods and drinks, however, with supplements, there tends to be more blind acceptance, as this consideration is outweighed by the potential health benefit of the product.

Just because they contribute to health and wellness, doesn’t always mean all the ingredients in supplements are healthy!

So, let’s say you’ve researched all you can about CBD and finally selected a product that seems perfect for you!

The extract is clean and pure? Great!

It was harvested from an organic plant? Excellent!

The properties have been analysed as part of product batch-testing? Wonderful!

It’s vegan & vegetarian-friendly? Or maybe available in various flavours? Even better!

But don’t forget to check what else the product contains…

We’re proud to say our product range is 100% natural – so, here are the ingredients we use in our ingestible products and why!

CBD Oil Oral Spray Ingredients

There’s a wide variety of CBD Oils on the market; our range consists of oral sprays available in a selection of fruit flavours, suited to people who want a great-tasting supplement while they’re on the go!

In addition to the Full-Spectrum CBD extract, the only 2 other ingredients are as follows:

MCT Oil

Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) are natural, liquid fats usually deriving from refined coconut oil. MCTs are also found in other natural oils, such as olive, sesame, soybean and avocado.

MCT as a CBD Carrier Oil

We use MCT Oil as a carrier for our CBD extract, think of this as a ‘base oil’. We use this to help the Cannabidiol metabolise effectively once it reaches your digestive system.

How does it do this?

The calories in MCT combine with oxygen for instant metabolisation. Unlike other fats, the calories go from the gut to the liver straight away as an energy source; so instead of being stored as fat, they become ketones.

When the Liver produces ketones, they are used as an energy source to the brain, rather than glucose (or sugar).

With its fast metabolisation, high bioavailability (the amount of a supplement which enters your body’s circulation to have an active effect) and use as an energy source, MCT Oil makes for the perfect partner to produce a CBD supplement with high efficacy. Perfect for giving you a boost when you need it most!

Natural Flavourings

Our CBD Oral Sprays are available in Cherry, Orange, Vanilla or Natural, using nothing but natural flavourings.

There’s no reason why CBD flavourings can’t be natural unless they’re compensating for an inferior product (likely to contain a low-quality extract). It’s common for CBD Oils to be available in a range of fruit flavours, but if you come across something that sounds a little too ambitious i.e blueberry bubblegum, or something along those lines – be sure to double-check those ingredients!

CBD Capsules Ingredients

Our CBD Capsules are made from 100% natural ingredients. Nothing but CO2 extracted, Full-Spectrum Cannabidiol, combined with just 2 other healthy ingredients – no rubbish!

Inulin

One of the reasons people choose CBD capsules, over oils, is that they digest slowly and last throughout the day. This makes it an ideal supplement for people who plan to take CBD sporadically as part of a daily regime.

Inulin is a type of fibre found in many edible plants, such as asparagus, leeks, onions, garlic and many more! A plant will naturally produce the fibre to use as an energy source.

Why do we add it to our CBD capsules?

Inulin is known for its high nutritional benefit; further to that, it’s low in calories but digests very slowly.

By keeping you full of fibre, it upkeeps your energy levels. As it digests, it helps increase friendly bacteria to fight infection from any harmful bacteria, all the while stimulating your immune system!

This makes a perfect partner for CBD because it helps your body digest the compound; furthermore, it does it at a slow rate so that you can feel the effects of CBD for an elongated period.

Vegetable Capsules

We need to encase the ingredients in something, right? So, why not make that high-quality too?!

The vast majority of capsules in the healthcare market will use gelatin capsules. They aren’t bad for you, but they do derive from bovine & porcine (beef & pork), and who knows what part of a cow or pig the material derives from? We’re not sure anyone does!

The reason gelatin capsules are more commonly used is simply that they’re cheaper to produce. We pride ourselves on producing 100% natural products which are suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians, so to use a slightly more expensive material which is potentially healthier (as well as more inclusive) only makes sense!

How to Take CBD for your Daily Routine

CBD is rapidly becoming a popular choice of supplement for all lifestyles, here we give you a 3 ways to take CBD and incorporate it into your daily routine!

Despite battling the stigma that is attached to cannabis, there has been an insurgence of CBD usage in the UK and across many other countries. Naturally, this leads to keen interest from many who may have never considered adding supplements (especially cannabis derivatives) to their daily routine.

We pride ourselves on being geeks at heart – meaning we are committed to expertise in our products, and providing you with as much information as possible to help find the right product for you.

If you’re somebody who has heard all the wonderful reasons to give CBD a go, here’s some suggestions on what kind of product is right for you, and how to use it effectively & responsibly

Sublingual Dosage

Prone to feelings of stress? Or maybe, your upcoming meetings are a little too nerve-wracking…

If you require a supplement to help you focus when you need it most, CBD Oil Oral Sprays absorb almost instantly so that you can relax ahead of difficult daily tasks.

If you find that you struggle with intermittent feelings of discomfort or irritability during your daily routine, a dose of CBD in advance of activities can provide instant benefits to help you concentrate

Choose a preferred flavour, then start with 2-3 sprays of CBD Oil per day and build up to a dosage which works for you!

Ingestion

Do you struggle maintaining confidence in your ability throughout the day? Or perhaps, your current schedule just seems a little too taxing…

For those who require help dealing with persistent daily discomfort, CBD Capsules provide a prolonged effect to ease your body for hours at a time.

Capsules provide a milder, lasting effect – due to the slower digestion, the CBD takes longer to release into your system. You can use them as part of a routine to make long, difficult days a little easier to deal with.

We recommend taking 1-2 capsules per day – during meals or alongside other supplements you may use – then building up to 2-4 as you begin to recognise the effects and build a tolerance.

An ideal solution for people who want a quick, easy dosage as part of a daily regime!

Topical Application

Having constant irritation from your skin or muscles? Sometimes, we can go a little too hard in the gym, or that rash just doesn’t want to go away quietly…

Unfortunately, we don’t have a magic cream to rid you of a skin disease or a calf strain, but our CBD Muscle Rub can help soothe the tenderness in areas that are causing you difficulty.

Applying CBD Balm to an affected area provides a targeted effect upon the surface of your skin, so that you can reduce the aching or scratching and keep it moving.

Smothering your body in it won’t make you invincible (believe us… we’ve tried) but if you apply the cream directly upon a targeted area and gently rub until fully absorbed, it can aid the relief of soreness or inflammation so that you can carry on looking & feeling at your best!

Any questions? We’re here to help!

We’re always excited to share our wisdom and hear about people’s experiences with CBD. So, if you’re not certain which CBD product is right for you – or if you just want to know a little more about this newfangled thing the kids are talking about – drop us a line or visit our FAQs page
